One2touch AS fra Bergen, med Bård Eker og Rune Rinnan på eiersiden, har solgt de første 50 000 tastaturene til Elecon, Japans største distributør av mobiltilbehør. Selskapet betaler én million dollar for eksklusiv rett til å selge One2touch produkter i Asia. Kontraktsverdien er NOK 10,4 mill. med opsjon på ytterligere NOK 9,3 mill for 2013.”Dette er et gjennombrudd”, sier Rune Rinnan. The study concludes that the high-tech start-up companies are among the first to perish in the midst of a global financial crisis. The small biotech company BerGenBio AS, a BTO startup company, is an example of the oposite. BerGenBio AS raised NOK 52 MILL funding from investor group
Monday, January 9th, 2012The biotech company BerGenBio AS has now raised NOK 52 MILL funding from an investor group to finance a large clinical study with purpose to develop new cancer medicine. The BTO fund Norsk Innovasjonskapital II is one of the partners in this investor group, as well as the Bergen billionaire Trond Mohn. BTO has also contributed in the development and implementation of strategy, some legal aspects and accounting. BerGenBio is a spin-out company from BTO, and has experienced rapid growth the last year now counting 14 employees. Read Dagens Næringsliv article here
2009 et rekordår for forskningsbaserte ideer og oppfinnelser
Thursday, March 4th, 2010NTB har sjekket status ved BTO og alle de andre TTOene i Norge. TTO er kontorer som universitetene har etablert for å kommersialisere forskningsresultater. Resultatene viser at innovasjon fra forskningsmiljøene er i vekst – totalt sett ble 2009 et rekordår for forskningsbaserte idéer og oppfinnelser. Her ligger grunnlag for å skape nye børslokomotiver og mange arbeidsplasser.
